Energy Storage –
GO! MALL

GO! Mall is a nationwide chain of shopping malls and hypermarkets in Vietnam, operated by Central Retail, one of Thailand’s leading multi-sector retail groups.

The Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project involves the deployment of advanced energy storage technology at GO! Thăng Long, the highest electricity-consuming site within Central Retail’s Vietnam portfolio. The system helps optimize energy usage, reduce electricity costs during peak demand periods, and enhance grid stability.

Project information

  • One of the first BESS projects in Vietnam
  • Minimize the use of parking space
  • Turnkey project covering development, design, procurement, and contract management
  • Advanced engineering design
  • Load shifting: Shift electricity consumption from peak hours to off-peak hours to optimize energy costs
  • Compliance with international standards
  • Generator (GenSet) Integration: Enables the BESS to continue operating during grid outages or power interruptions
  • Compact containerized solution: The entire 1 MW / 2.3 MWh system is housed within a single 20-foot container
  • Proven technology: Backed by a long-term performance guarantee.
  • Shift 15% of peak load to off-peak hours
  • Reduce electricity costs and peak demand charges
  • Ensure a reliable power supply for operations
  • Reduced grid dependence and carbon emissions
