In recent years, solar power has been developing very strongly in Vietnam and one of the top concerns of customers when they want to install a rooftop solar power system is a contract related issue. So what is a Solar Power Purchase Agreement?

What is a solar power purchase agreement?

PPA is a power purchase agreement between the Buyer and the Seller.

  • Subject of the contract: Electricity output is generated from the solar power system installed on the roof of the Seller's factory
  • Subject of the contract: Electricity Seller and Buyer

The Buyer means the investor that installs, operates the solar power system and sells the generated electricity, and the Seller is the party that consumes the power output from the plant and pays according to the agreed electricity price.
